Few things are quite as momentous as a marriage proposal. Throw in a sibling tie and it makes it all the more special. So when my brother, Justin, came to me about ideas on how to propose to his girlfriend, Hannah, I knew this was going to be big. He brought up all these elaborate plans that he had to ask Hannah to be his wife. Yet, when all was said and done, a small affair surrounded by family became the perfect setting. We snuck away afterwards to capture some quick photographs. Congratulations, Justin and Hannah! I'm honored to call you family!

On a whim at the beginning of 2014, I decided to join in on a project to take a photo everyday. A 365 project. To be honest, I had no idea what that all entailed but wanted a photography challenge as it had been months since I picked up my DSLR. As I progressed through the year, I realized all that Instagram and the my_365 community had to offer and have not ceased to be blown away by it all. The kind words, the encouragement, even constructive criticism - exactly what I needed to boost my confidence in my ability. Not only am I grateful for the creative challenge it has offered, but I'm also grateful that it gave me a chance to document my children's growth. The special moments that made this 2014 so wonderful and challenging are now memorialized into images that are deemed worthy of hanging on my walls. So thank you for making 2014 exactly what it should have been - amazing. Here are some favorite images from 2014:

The year 2014 brought many hardships our way. From job changes to losses to disappointments, this past year had it's challenges. But through it all, God has shown Himself faithful. Joys, weddings, new life - all miracles from our Father.
In the midst of this roller coaster year, I found a passion. Through it, I can forever memorialize my daughter's first steps, my son's obsession with dinosaurs, and my husband's love for his children. I've learned to see our Father's creation in a new light and truly appreciate the work He has created for us. Through the lens of a camera, I now see what God has allowed me the ability to create.
And it is that ability that I'd like to share with others. With you. I'd like to give you the chance to acquire physical replicas of the memories that surround your day to day life. A chance to look back on those long-forgotten times with fondness and love. A chance to share the experience with future generations.
As a brand new start to 2015, I introduce Mindy Tingson Photography. I'm excited and hopeful for what this year holds for me, as well as for you. With God's grace and guidance, I'm thrilled to share some of the things that will be offered in the next year. From families to couples to new life, I would be honored to capture those moments that create your history. May this coming year be one filled with love, joy, blessings.
